As Group Director Controlling you will lead the team that is accountable for this crucial role.
Position
The Group Director Controlling is the link between the commercial organisation and the finance function. By challenging the business on the one hand and supporting the business at the same time, you will ensure success for Triodos in achieving its goals. Meanwhile, Triodos is on a journey of implementing a new target operating model, which will allow them to better serve their customers and professionalise their ways of working. As Group Director Controlling, you will play an important role in driving this transformation.
As Group Director Controlling you will report directly to the CFO of Triodos and you will be a member of the CFO management team and the overall Triodos senior leadership team. You will lead the Controlling capabilities of Triodos from a functional perspective as owner of the role of business controller. On top of that the Group Director Controlling has 7 co-workers reporting directly to you. In total you manage 13FTE directly and have functional relationships with Finance teams at Triodos Investment Management and at Triodos Bank UK.
Next to ensuring smooth operations of the controlling department:
- You will lead the process of setting business plans and ensuring alignment with strategy through quantifying business outcomes and building a comprehensive control framework based on target setting;
- You will ensure accurate management accounting by providing financial and non- financial updates and reports to the Executive Board including your recommendations;
- You will set up and adjust central pricing policies, provide advice on commercial and impact performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives;
- You will play a crucial role in business advisory, setting and adjusting central policies on business case management and benefit tracking and challenging the business on value creation and provide ad hoc advice on portfolio management (M&A and divestures).

- Extensive hands-on experience in controlling or accounting functions, preferably at financial institutions
- A strong understanding of accounting standards, regulations, and rulings
- Highly developed analytic, financial modelling and reporting skills
- An ability to lead or play a senior role in significant financial projects
- Certification in Dutch CPA (RA) or a comparable professional expertise (RC, ACCA, CPA etc.)
