Euro Pool Group consists of Euro Pool System (EPS) and La Palette Rouge (LPR). Two divisions, each with their own history and expertise in the area of packaging pooling. Where EPS has become the standard packaging in the European chain for fresh and packaged foods with its reusable trays and foldable crates, LPR is the number two in the pallet pool industry. Euro Pool Group has offices in 18 countries and is operational in 33 countries with 1360 employees on the payroll and 1250 employees (indirect) working via service providers. At the headquarters of Euro Pool Group in Rijswijk they work in close cooperation with colleagues across Europe. They provide them with the resources that enables them to perform their daily tasks as efficiently and effectively as possible. Marketing, IT, Finance, Operations, HR and the Legal Department operate on a group level.
Position
A unique chance to contribute into a circular business! Due to the development of Euro Pool Group and its growth ambition the company is currently looking for an all-round and pro-active Group HR Director.
The Group HR Director Europe is responsible for the HR function for the Group and sparring partner to the Management Board of the Group. HR is in the lead of the development of the European HR strategy and implementation of the HR plans and acts as a critical link between divisions and countries as well as leading European HR projects. Support the regions with the overall transformation in becoming a high performance, efficient and innovative business. The Group HR Director plays a pivotal role in the process of further professionalization of the HR function.
Background
The Group HR Director has strong strategic skills and a pragmatic personality and approach. A self-starter who is passionate about building out HR and is able to build bridges between the Group and the Divisions. Somebody who is professionally seasoned and has up to date knowledge of the latest developments within the field of HR.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Bachelor/Master/MBA degree in an HR related topic.
- Extensive relevant work experience in an international environment of which a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience managing a team.
- Driven and high energy individual.
- Preferably experience in managing a pan-European team.
- Project Management experience.
- Exposure to European works councils and trade unions.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment.
- Comfortable engaging with, presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders.
- Fluent verbal and written English is required. An additional European language (French or German) would be beneficial.
- Quickly identify with the business and business needs, understanding a P&L.
